Last day with 100 Kindergartners, what should we do? Something new!! So we started on the surrounding flat boards. Just so you have an idea of the shape and size of this mural, I thought I would show you this picture, taken from my rooftop on the day that I first made the substrates (what is being tiled). This entire floral shape will all go on the wall.
Here I can give a shout-out to Cynthia Thompson, who has been the point-person on this entire project. I met with her early Friday morning and she helped me draw out the stencils needed from these boards so that we could start the floral portion of the mural. This was my last day with all the Kinders from Ms. Stewart, Ms. Bettis, Ms. Henely and Ms. Bobetsky’s classes, and they can all be very pleased with the start they gave to this mural! The older kids have a lot to live up to.
