Gaudi Lighthouse on Oregon Coast

Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi is famous for his unique architecture that helps to make Barcelona one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
After teaching a mosaic class in Gaudi this summer, I was commissioned to create a large mosaic that would combine Gaudi and the Oregon Coast. I imagined Gaudi building a lighthouse on the bluffs at Cascade Head, and I used glass, stone, and tiny Millefiori to show this. It was a joy to work with a borrowed hand of a master.
Fortunately, the piece did not take 101 years to finish, like the Sagrada Familia Church !
